The meteor is coming. The extinction of the human race is a reality. Out of desperation the Resurrection Project is born to save as much of the population as possible. But there is far more to the meteor than ever expected and with that discovery went any hope of salvation.

Lieutenant Rondell White has a distinguished career in the Army, but this new assignment is something out of a science fiction movie. He was placed in stasis in a reconstructed cave system with two thousand others in hopes that at some future time civilization can be resurrected and once again walk on the surface.

The project is a desperate gamble but with few other options it’s a risk worth undertaking. When Rondell is revived to take his year long turn watching over Site 78 he makes several Important discoveries. The Earth is beginning to warm again, a strange new form of life is walking on the surface, and lava has begun to rise from a crack in the floor.

With time running out and the possible survival of humanity depending on his decision, Rondell must choose between staying in the cave with lava spreading or facing frigid temperatures and an unknown lifeform outside.
